Ramming Mass

TRL Krosaki offers a comprehensive range of high-performance Ramming Mass products—Neutral, Basic, and Acidic—designed to meet the varying needs of induction furnaces. Neutral Ramming Mixes (NRM), based on alumina/magnesia spinel, provide excellent corrosion resistance, increased lining life, and operational efficiency, making them suitable for melting and holding iron and steel. Basic Ramming Mixes (BRM), composed of magnesia/chrome materials, are ideal for 1–10 MT furnaces and deliver superior slag resistance, thermal stability, and durability.

NEUTRAL

We are particularly committed to use of Neutral Ramming Mixes (NRM) based on alumina/magnesia spinel material. Our NRM exhibit increased lifetime and corrosion resistance, and lead to operational savings. Its unique design helps prevent leakage, providing additional security for melting and safety for the staff.

BENEFITS

  • To be recommended for 1-40 MT capacity induction furnace.

  • Being neutral in nature, it can be used for melting and holding of iron & steel.

  • Helps reduce cost of ladle and bottom block by reducing metal adhesion between them.

  • Excellent flow and expansion & good workability.

  • Reduction of downtime & increase of capacity through reducing line down time.

  • Improve steel purity and quality.

BASIC

We are particularly committed to use of Basic Ramming Mixes (BRM) based on magnesia/Chrome material. Our BRM exhibit increased lifetime and corrosion resistance, and lead to operational savings. BRM’s unique design helps prevent leakage, providing additional security for melting and safety for the staff.

BENEFITS

  • To be recommended for 1–10 MT capacity induction furnace.

  • High refractoriness to withstand operating temp.

  • Good resistance to alkali/acidic slags and steel and slag.

  • Adequate workability for easy installations.

  • Should be used in stable furnace conditions.

  • Should be warmed slowly to avoid cracks.

  • Recommended to be used with molten metal.

  • Should showcase heat resistance.

ACIDIC

We are particularly committed to use of Acidic Ramming Mixes (ARM) based on quality Silica material. Our ARM exhibit increased lifetime and corrosion resistance, and lead to operational savings. ARM’s unique design helps prevent leakage, providing additional security for melting and safety for the staff.

BENEFITS

  • To be recommended for 1–50 MT capacity induction furnace.

  • High Erosion Resistance

  • High Bending Strength

  • Short Lead time

  • Being acid type material, the cost of lining of the furnace is low.

  • Due to easy preparation of the mass, the heating and sintering time is reduced.

  • The breakdown of refractory per ton of steel made is low.
